The East Village venue was inspired by the New York suburb of the same name and much like the independent clubs there, it provides an inoffensive respite from the nearby commercial world. Its unique decor and warmth makes it a real showstopper for any party and a positively charming place to be. And with Christmas now on the radar, it's time to start planning away, so read ahead for our plans on what's happening for 2009.

Now East Village is standing strong as a bar, club, kitchen and venue, we have been working hard to grow its corporate arm, and have invested in a cracking new box of tricks in time for the festive season. Following the success of last year's Christmas party bookings, our team of creative Event Planners have been scouting for some of London's most popular entertainers, creating a collection of its favourite themes, foods, cocktails and acts to bring your event alive.

Imagine a decadent night of Neo-Burlesque glitz and glamour to charm your guests, or an electric '80s boogaloo band to funk up your party. Perhaps you would prefer something to make you smile...a comedy ensemble? Or something as simple as a hosted party of personalised cocktails and canapes, followed by dancing.
